Hello everyone my name is Vinay
Hello everyone my name is Vinay Vashisth and I am a gold medalist in Philosophy subject from Delhi University. Having been attended more than 7 times SSBs, one thing I am sure of that we are not taking the psychological tests seriously. We even don’t know what the interviewing officer wants and what the GTO is looking at. Hence, having done my research on philosophy of Psychology of the SSB, I want to share some HIDDEN things that aren’t deciphered by candidates. My previous answer on Quora which had got more than 60k views on SSB gave me motivation to write a better answer. Read each line carefully. You will not need any book/coaching after reading this. Every Page in this PDF keeps on getting DEEPER, so just finish the entire PDF. Have a great Journey! PYSCHOLOGY: This test is taken when candidates clear the first day process i.e. the screening process (I shall take screening process at last). The candidates are made to write 12 stories here. This is called TAT (Thematic apperception Test). After that write sentences on 60 words (Word association test). Then write SRT (situation reaction test) i.e. respond to a given situation which are 60 in total. And at last write Self description. In TAT, you are the main character. No one else. You will make the character do what you think you can do (isn’t it). So, you are the Ram and the Shyam of the picture. Imagine yourself and dive deep into the picture so that you don’t write the story floating in air. Also, can’t you name the character of the story as the names of the people of your room allotted in SSB? Aren’t they your friends? They are. Write their names! It shows social adaptability (One of the OLQs). Now you will, through that character, will take out his qualities and qualities will be depicted only when you will make him solve certain problem and situation. Forpeople eating at a restaurant (with no problem here), do you think we can make out their qualities? No. Hero is made out of bad situations when he gets you out of the issue or problem. So, ascertain the problem given in the picture. I will tell you how. Suppose in first picture, there is a person drowning and a boat is there. In these types of pictures, we can clearly know the problem that the person is drowning. But suppose in the second picture, three people are standing and talking. How to raise an issue here? Now think that they are standing DUE TO SOME REASON. The reason can be anything (will depend on candidate to candidate). So, chest number 1 will see that they are standing BECAUSE they are discussing about holding a farewell in their college. Chest number 2 will say that they are standing BECAUSE they are discussing how to make their place (urban or rural) self-sufficient in electricity. Third chest number will say that they are standing BECAUSE they are member of a company and want to grow their sales. ALL the candidates have brought an issue here. They are all correct in their perspectives. BUT, if a candidate will write they are standing there BECAUSE they have been bitten by snake or a terrorist has come up or they are drug addicts shows that he is bringing an issue which is unnecessary and cannot be seen in the picture (This is called making a picture NEGATIVE). One person can also say that these people are standing BECAUSE they want to do some kitty party (NOW THIS IS VERY CHILDISH). Not accepted from a defence candidate. One person can write that they are standing BECAUSE these people have lost their family mates (VERY NEGATIVE, WHY KILLING PEOPLE). So, make these people discuss something very constructive. Now let’s move on to how to go forward with the story.
